lol at least ya honest. Web design & SEO ain't like window cleaning or canvassing though, if a company guaranteed me work I'd walk away cos they'd be lying.

Dodger I have web designers ring me all the time promising the world but I know that really Im a one off and once they get my money theres very limited support, loads of my cleaners have fallen into the trap get this amazing website thinking calls will flow in then we find them on page 30 of google listings.

To be fair my main lead generators are Twitter and Facebook in my profile here I dont even list my website because like you say its rubbish

Honestly, if a web designer needs to cold call there might be a reason for that, if he can't guarantee work through the internet for himself how can he guarantee it for you or anyone else.

Not really. I'm confident in my work but I can't guarantee something that I don't have much control over. The search engines work on their own terms and constantly change their algorithm (which they keep secret). I could have a website on the first page one day and the next it's disappeared. An extreme example but if this happened then I could potentially be in breach of contract. Guaranteed SEO is a scam and just doesn't work. Lots of people do offer a "guarantee" but these are very wishy washy and these guarantees typically aren't worth the paper they're printed on.

To be honest for me to give somebody £1000 upfront for so say £500 worth of work that I have no control over I would rather spend time going out door knocking on slack days offering a free window cleaning trial (fronts only) there and then also up sell if they want the back doing aswell to try get them on me books....sounds crazy idea but might just work for very little cost. If not then at least would get me out of the house from me missus /emoticons/biggrin.png

Actually nope, sounds like a fair idea to me.

Free first cleans brilliant you can come and do mine lol difference is when I do it you get at least 70+ first cleans in a week with very little stress

Generally the cleaner but if I can charge more then Ill go for it, and sometimes if the pricing is not correct ie cleaners prices too much ie spoilt customers paying old ladder boy prices then it gets looked at in regards to match it or we move area

What Im offering is a marketing package, I dont look to change anything your doing at the moment and when you turn up they have smiles on their faces and cash in their hands.

What more can I do ?
