A lot of people have special rates for gutter/fascia cleans and solar panel cleaning etc : ) but id rather price up on time.... : ) but i charge time and a half /emoticons/smile.png

if i get a gutter fascia job this is how i price it :

I want to earn about 20 pound an hour : ) so if i get a gutter./fascia job that will only take me 20 mins.........

I would charge 7 pound /emoticons/smile.png but i would do it time and a half.. so id charge them 10 quid /emoticons/smile.png

Im up the north and i try and keep costs low and profitable /emoticons/smile.png

if a clean toke me 1 hour to do... i would charge them £30.00 so this way am £10.00 on my desired hourly rate /emoticons/smile.png

i wish i could charge the money u lot charge /emoticons/tongue.png but my prices are very reasonable and i think if i went higher people would say no /emoticons/smile.png

also i will tend to charge more for 1 off cleans and for customers who arent regular /emoticons/smile.png

I only offer this time and half price to regular customers : )

if someone rang me and just wanted themn doing without being on my round... i would probably charge them about £18.00 as they are not regular customers

But 1 customer wanted a clean that would only take me 20 minutes... instead of charging £10.00 i done it for £9.00 but it only toke me like 25 mins /emoticons/smile.png so its not to bad but the only reason i done it for £9.00 is cos i felt like being really nice /emoticons/mellow.png lmaooo

A lot of people charge per square meter etc... but i think if you want to be reasonable then this is the way to go : ) as you can see above it is very profitable : ) and at the end of the day YOU know that you are reasonable : )

Hope this helps a lot of u out their /emoticons/smile.png as a lot of people seem to have pricing problems

not that profitable really,

ie, solar panel cleaning i charge a min of £30, most only take me 15 minutes.

cleaning gutters out from £25,

cleaning gutters should not be time and a half /emoticons/tongue.png they should be priced high like you say rc /emoticons/smile.png

but if i had a conservatory roof to clean and it would take me 2 hours to do... that would cost like 60 quid if u do time and half mate ... so its a good pricing structure /emoticons/smile.png

but cos solar panels take quick to clean i think it would be best to charge 50p per panel /emoticons/smile.png ive never had a solar panel job and dont think i ever will by the look of things /emoticons/tongue.png lol

but i do all fascias soffits solar panels upvc etc on time and half /emoticons/smile.png

Price of conservatory Roofs most guys start at £25 so you would find it hard to compete with them,

U would be losing money on that if you only charge 50p a panel, solar panel cleaning is classed as a specialist job, so you can charge more for it. An average set up is about 12 panels, so u would charge £6 for that? You got to buy a pole at least 40ft to do the job, insurance will cost more to cover it, cost of fuel to get to job and back again.

your underselling yourself again H, for a terraced house i charge £20 per side for gutters, and start at £30 for conny roofs.

i know you always say people wont pay that around your way but they will H, ok so sometimes you will price a gutter job and the custy will say no, thats fine, its better to lose it then to do it for less than your worth.

trust me mate you need to start charging what its worth instead of going in super low just to get the job, its also very easy to underestimate the time required on gutter/conny roof jobs so better to allow yourself a bit of room price per hour wise

Where doy uo advertise other than yourr website and leafelts?

If you charge £30 to clean solar panels you are probably wiping out their profit for the year
they still need cleaning, and cleaning costs money, its a cost that is part of having solar panels!

You think they need cleaning but many customers think not as have been told by installers the panels are self cleaning glass. /emoticons/biggrin.png

there is no such thing as self cleaning glass! lol

i just show them a picture of a solar panel that i only cleaned half and left the other half, then they can see the real difference!

Try telling that to ppl that are convinced they dont need cleaning /emoticons/biggrin.png

its quite easy when you give them all the detail about the glass! lol i have a small conservatory roof that i clean each month, thats ment to be self cleaning! lol

The people that installed my parents solar panels, tell me that I should go out there and get customers who have solar panels to clean, as I don't think people where I live(other window cleaners) are aware of this type of cleaning(I know sounds daft) as soon as I mentioned it they said its a great idea and could make a mint of it, as long as I advertise it rightly..

At the end of the day if H is happy to do this & his way fair enough. Connie roofs I charge a tenner for. It takes 10- 15 mins so how people charge £25-£30 I don't know. A gutter I charge £10 a side. No house has taken me more then half hour. To me that's not under pricing it's not taking the customer for a ride which I think H is getting at. He wants to do a fair price.

I dont unserstand how you can properly clean a conservatory roof in 10-15mins. Maybe if there getting it done every 4/8weeks? The ones I do are allways covered in alage or really dirty. I take 40 quid min for a conservatory roof now.

Ive never been turned away for a conservatory roof so far.

Maybe hes better checking what other people are charging ( legitimate comapnys ) in his area, then making a decision on that basis.

A hose connected to the brush & a wipe over. Gets the dust & **** off. My custies are happy with that. The green algie comes off pretty easily. I don't use wfp as my custies say within 3-4 days its dusty again. Agree he should check what others charge. I get a lot coz I'm cheap but for what I offer it takes 10-15 mins every 3-4 months & I prob do at least a100 of my custies a year which over a year works out about 3 grand a year.
