My First Long Pole Whoohoooo

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Nice one,...For only £75 was a bargain,...bit of a monster compared to a harris pole though /emoticons/wink.png

4 floors & solar panel cleaning here you come /emoticons/smile.png

good price, I hope you work out thats going to weigh a ton. Ive got a 35ft, I bloody hate it it.
Yeah I have one too... hate it. Brodex not for me /emoticons/sleep.png

You will need arms like popeye to use that beast.

I really like the Bodex aluminium poles. I use an 8ft, 18ft and 25ft pole on a daily basis. I have a 35ft pole which is way heavier than my Ionics carbon pole but it was cheap. I intend to take the outer section off and use it as a25ft when my 25ft needs replacing.

Good luck with yours, you'll not need to go to the gym when you're using that regularly.

If u dont go gym u will struggle more, if u do go gum u will find it easier

Depends if you actually do anything in the gym I suppose,...I spend more time looking at the fit birds working out which I've found a very good cardio vascular exercise for my old age without doing much work myself. /emoticons/biggrin.png

hiya - im looking to get my very first pole , probably a 27 - 30 ft one , to attach it to a self build trolley /emoticons/smile.png could u recommend me a light one please ? just did a search and found GARDINER pole system made of carbon ?! do you think that might be a light one ?

I haven't actually worked with a pole so is hard to judge for me whether is light or heavy /emoticons/biggrin.png

Also what make/brand should i look for - i am looking at a cheap option right now - but in the same i might be happy to spend a bit more on the first pole rather than changing it next month

thanks a lot

I bought a cheap one to start with, I regret it now. The pole and brush you use make a difference mate. Ive never used gardiners but al I hear is good things about there poles. The gardners CLX22 or CLX27 would be fine for you.

CLX22 wights 1360 grams ((weighs the same as about bag and a half of sugar)

CLX27 weighs 1800 grams (weighs the same as about 2 bags of sugar)

Just bought my first gardiner, a 25ft extreme. Cost a couple of pennies, but worth every one of them. Excellent customer service too.

can u guys check the attachment - n let me know what size i need to get to the top window? (see the image)

the simpler answer is to measure the height of course /emoticons/biggrin.png but i think you might know from your experience roughly which pole will do the job.

wasn't able to attach it

i've done that property yesterday - and the top window was a night mare for me - had to clean it from inside - as from the ladder i can only do ground and first floor : (

clx 27 should do for a starter pole as quite reasonably priced but for full 3 storey work would be a bit short if any obstacles where in the way. If you can afford a better pole I would go for something like an slx 30 or slx 35.
