4 Weekly Or 6 Weekly

WCF

Help Support WCF:

4 weekly or 8 weekly.

Only two customers are 2 weekly!

I advertise it, but you just don't think people want windows cleaned every 2 weeks but they do!

I see where you coming from Martyn and I work like that.

Posh has all his customers on a 6 weekly rota, which like he said works the same as our 4 weekly(if you get my drift)

I see where many window cleaners choose the 6 weekly option, as you make more money, see more customers then you can at 4 weeks.

From a customers point of view many want there windows done, 4 weekly.... i have picked up a bit of work, like that, where i do 4 weekly but 6 weekly is just to long for some people.

I used to have our windows cleaned every two weeks (20 odd years ago) that is when the guy wasn't banged up or gone into hiding

Always has been six weeks round here, thats normal but more and more customers want 8 or 12 weeks and to be honest unless a bird has had a good poop down one of the windows they don't need cleaning any more often than that.

If thats what the customer wants then fine, its their money. try and stick out for 4 weeks round here and you will either lose them or clean them for peanuts.

I started with 4 weeks and found people wanted 6..I charged according.

.then put some 4 week customers on 6 weekly to ballance the rounds..

I then started a whole new area of 8 weeks only..so I now have a 4 6 and 8 weeks rounds..it took some time to sort

But great now..

Personally I wouldn't try to push anyone for a monthly, if they want monthly that's great, if they want 2 monthly that's fine by me, in fact it's become the norm since the economy went **** up. But if they ask for six weekly then I push them to 2 monthly. When I had a lot of six weekers I was always getting into a mess as I would be overloaded some weeks and light others, now I've got very few six weekers it's more controllable. /emoticons/smile.png

Exactly. How you guys do your round on 4 weeks I do on 6. It works the same. Gives me more flex & not fretting when it rains coz most of them I put on 5 weeks in the book & if it rains or I miss a day for some reason I gotta a weeks grace. I don't stick to same day either. You can't with our weather. If you 4 weekers have 3 or 4 days rain yours move to 5 weeks. Mine stay between 5-6 so ain't gotta panick bout being late. Works for me anyway lol

just be honest with them and let them know how often you will be around to do the work (for me every month). Then they can decide for themselves if they want their windows cleaned or not. If they still insist every 2 months then charge them double. Simples....

just let them know your in the area only on so and so so they cant get their own way and they will understand

The way I'm offering it is this, 1 quote for a 4 weekly clean but I'm only pushing it in certain areas that I want to do it in for now. I'm adding 25% for a 6 weekly and 50% for an 8 weekly but emphasising the fact that in the long run this will save the customer money whilst still having their windows cleaned regularly. If I can get all customers old and new taking up these schedules for 25% or 50% extra and I get my round to the size I want it guess what I'll make 25-50% more money than I would have doing 4 weeklies or of course I just won't need as many customers to make the money I want to, simples.

I'm lucky I suppose as I'm new to the game and have a small round so I can implement this now and don't have 400 customers to convert.

This by the way is the main thing I've taken so far from Richards book, winning at window cleaning.

Lifer..yes I agree with ur thinking. ..I dnt think iv cleaned the same customers on the same day intentionally since iv bn going

If im late on a 4 week clean chances are there are lot of my other 4 week cleans will be late.....weather. vans off road..ect

Very rare il leave some one out...

I tell all my customers I'll be round between 6 to 8 week depending on the weather. been saying that for 12 years any earlier I get is it that time already lol.
