What Mpg Do You Get Out Of Your Van?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Vauxhall Astra1.7cdti diesel, not a van but a car...

I get 370/400 miles to one tank, which cost about the same as above.

Depending how I drive and where I drive, get a bit more when I do longer trips obvisly..

Unless you do a brim to brim millage check and use a mpg calculator then its useless.

My mondeo gets 54mpg on 50/50 town/motorway

I had a mondeo!

For 6 months after I past my test...that car was awsome lol loud exaust haha!

Thing with that car, as was 2 litre, it kept drinking it in and around town.

probably doing 25mpg

On the motorway it was doing 50 to 60 mpg.

I went to london last year in it, and so drove there, drove around london and back over a weekend, all other cars needed filling up, got back home with a little more then quarter of a tank!

Nice... Was it a petrol?

Mines diesel and every day round town still sees us in the high40's

Yeah petrol, 2004 2lt zetec

Apparently, only ford do front heated window screens!

My parents and my other mate whos got newer cars then mine(not ford) dont have front heated window screens, and I thought they did as are newer then mine lol

Miss that car lol

Lol yer it's the one thing I love on fords it's the here's front screen /emoticons/smile.png

Although my rear one don't work lol

Ill fix it when I get round to it but its got bigger issues that need fixing first lol

Renault Kangoo DCI (don't laugh...it's a company van /emoticons/tongue.png ) to be fair it's not a bad van.

I allways brim the tank and work out my mpg and the cost per mile...am I sad or wot  .

Sensible 'A' road driving and not above 60mph on motorway........

397 miles = 43mpg = 0.14p per mile @£1.389 per ltr . /emoticons/smile.png

One round trip of all motorway driving and not going below 70mph (wink wink).....

216 miles = 34mpg = 0.19p per mile @£1.409 per ltr /emoticons/ohmy.png   .

The best thing to do is drive on the edge of the turbo (ie the bit where if lift of the accelerator there is a delay before it slows down) my mondeo, if you keep the revs between 1,800 n 2,300 will do just under 800 miles to a tank. It's also the best revs for your clucth as its the least stress on the flywheel
