Direct Banking

Has anyone got a set up service for getting paid through direct banking. I have a couple of odd ones, but I want to roll out a proper system.

yer i would say 60% of mine are paid online into my bank account.

it might be more than that, but still get cash jobs and a few cheques,

recently over the last month there has been a more cash jobs,

About a 1/3rd each, bank transfer/standing orders, cheques and cash.

Yes, I know cash is best, but there are always those customers where it is probably more expedient to get them to send a cheque. so I thought direct banking (bacs) would be perhaps a more reliable way of getting the money. Some people are so long winded sometimes. But what I was trying to find out is procedures, eg do you use a seperate bank account, do you send a receipt by email (or not at all). Things like that.

I have a business bank account so it goes in there, on the day of the clean I just post invoice through the door with details on and that's it.

About 80% BACS, 20% cheques. Trips to the bank are few and far between and I haven't done a nights collecting in over 7 years! It's the new black!
