It wouldn't cost much to run a booster pump dude, you could even run it off a leisure battery!

It will last days mate on one charge. I reckon at least 5-7 days, if not longer as it will only be used for a short while each day to fill the tank. They don't use a lot of power.

seen some hot water systems on ebay are they any good during the winter? seem pricy but with it been hot it should will clean much quicker and better no freezing worries

anyone no much about these?

RC property is the man for this mate hes made his own system its wicked, dont pay all that money for a hot system when its only freezing weather for couple of months in a year

Yeah I agree, we only have at least 8 weeks of real bad freezing weather out of the year... Just do what I and others have done and purchase a Aquarium Heater... does the trick and for around £10.00 you can't go wrong. You only need a good leisure battery and an inverter and your ready to go... In total it all cost me £120.00 for the lot. Now that's Asda price /emoticons/biggrin.png

Quite a few lads I know on forums have been using propane gas water heaters for a few years all year round. Using warm water does help on first cleans etc that’s why they use them.

I’ve used one on and off but have never got around to permanently fixing it into me van because of venting issues using an L5. Also the L5 flow and temp setting was difficult to get constant how I wanted.

Many now have moved on from an L5 to so say better heaters like a fogwash which they recon are a lot better at controlling the flow & temp for cleaning glass etc. But those types of heaters you need to vent properly by cutting a hole in the roof of the van for the flue etc.

Some water heaters are better than others so you will have to shop around to find a good one for window cleaning.

Hope this helps?

Note sure dude. Checked the weather myself, were going to have a cold snap... is this it now until Feb... I really hope not... Glad I'm not a window cleaner in Russia... Brrrrrr...

quick bump as its going to be freezing next week

anyone know how much oil filled rads cost to run per hour?>?

Depends on which rad you buy and what tariff your own, there not cheap. You need to look a the kilowatt per hour and then look on your bill and see what you get charged.

2 kW running for 6 hours will cost about £40 a month upwards

Temperature is going to really drop tonight, take of your gear even if you can only cover your system with an old blanket and drain your pump and pipe of water
