I have always used Tulsion MB115 the reason for this and the same for the most of you i listened to others in the past and they always rated it the best . I was wondering is the other stuff that bad i dont know the technical details if it is that bad why have they done nothing about it ?. I have also noticed that a lot of times the other resin is cheaper so if it was cheaper and you got less water but would they be any advantage buying the more expensive stuff more money more water what is best ?

i have brought the cheaper un-branded stuff just to try it once and it dont last as long, or store that well for some reason,

Doug will be along shortly and we will all be able to calm down then. He will explain it. He invented DI resin you know....

Steve, have you ever seen me calm on a football pitch /emoticons/biggrin.png

Mark, the top three world brands are Dowex , Purolite and Tulsion.

The other manufacturers do not have the technical data yet to compete with the top big 3. MB-115 has been graded alongside Dowex MB-50 and Purolite NRW-37 ! ( I thinks that is the product brand ). The Purolite NRW-37 is a higher spec than the Purolite MB-400 being sold.

Dowex will purchase resin off Tulsion.

There are also other manufacturers of resin in Europe but their prices are high.

Tulsion is reasonably priced as the biggest factor in prices is transport costs which a lot of work has gone into this to keep it competitively priced in the market. So pound for pound Tulsion MB-115 is one of the top sellers based on performance vs price.

There is a lower grade Tulsion MB-111 which we sell a lot of and is priced accordingly to spec, some people like it some don't.

Unger is a brand made in China and China at present do not have the technical data to make good anion resin so quality will not match those of the top three.

Water quality is also key factor to performance as well as if you water is 50/50 cation/anion the the Tulsion MB-108P will out perform the MB-115 which is 60/40 mix.

There is a lot more technical information which I'm not going into as it will well confuse all of you. /emoticons/smile.png

Hope this helps.

That's why I get all my purification stuff from doug!

A subsidiary question doug, that last bit you was on about with the mix, does it mean using ro I should not be using 115?

That I cannot answer as you would have the analyse your water in a lab. Water is made up of cations and anions +/-. It all just depends what your water ratio is.

Great answer Doug i got resin from you last week and saw the other tulsion mb 111 was tempted to try some how much lower spec is it

Told ya! Nice one doug. You didn't let me down! As you invented DI resin (!), what is your next project, making DI resin so efficient that it will fit into a tea bag and that will be all we need? ;-)

My motto is, "what doug don't know about water ain't worth knowin", so it can't matter much! Them membranes you sold me get tds down to 2 or 1, so shouldn't be a great deal of trouble if it's not the most efficient resin!

I have in my possession a software for building r/o systems. /emoticons/wink.png Passed on by a guru contact /emoticons/wink.png

But there has been a few arrows flying my way trying to stop me getting further, soon will be sorted /emoticons/tongue.png

I have recently got a second hand 40/40 from a retired window cleaner it has not been used for about 3 years i am going to set it up at end of week see if it works ,if i get my jobs finished so plenty of question may be firing at you shortly lol
