I've just bought a new fibreglass pole and have been using it for a couple of days, and started to notice splinter feelings in my hands, and if I touch my face I get an itchy feeling.

Has anyone else had problems with fibreglass poles?

You can get those Unger water fed pole gloves, excelant! I won some a while back, but think they RRp for around £30.

They don't keep your hands warm though they made to protect your hands from pole and give more grip to the pole to.

Never had that problem myself with the very first and last fiberglass pole I ever bought a few years back...

Gloves will protect your hands, splinters off fibreglass and black hands off carbon you cant win. I wrapped graffer tape around the areas I hold with my hands

I use a fibre glass pole and my hands when i was using it with out gloves just got covered by the splinters , caused alot of irretation.

I now use gloves which grip the pole too and i would advise gloves too as theres nothing worse trying to work with hands full of splinters aha
