3000W Vs 3600W Gutter Vac

C

Hi guys,I'm thinking of buying a gutter vac system.

But unsure of what power vacuum is best to buy? I was looking at the 3000w and 3600w setups,

How do they both compare?

Thanks! /emoticons/smile.png

Im interested in this as well can anyone point me in the right direction of a good set up and cost.

Thanks

Richard

Ive got a 3000 watt ets gutter vac and that does the job mate 3600 would be crazy /emoticons/smile.png

im also using the et vac its 3000 w and find it good enough but more power and air flow would be handy at times , i think the omnivac is 4200 watts and maybe worth a look

Depends on how much money you wanna spend , omnipole are very expensive but i spose if you have the money to buy a more powerful one ,why not.

I've got through so far two omnivac's plus an et vac aswell /emoticons/biggrin.png

Hence why I use me ladder now quite a bit as electric vac motors don't last that long with me

Thanks guys /emoticons/smile.png

I guess the more powerful vac comes in useful if you are doing really high gutters?

3000 w fine for more domestic work?

Thinking the 3600w vac are not really that much more expensive, so will most likely go with one of these, but i will also compare the air flow on the different vacs available.

What's the Kiam kv-80 like Silversurfer posted the link for above? They seem a bit cheap to me.

To be honest I've found an omni 4200 watt guttervac gets the job done much quicker regardless of height

I use the Omni 4200 guttervac - seems to do the job regardless of height, though best to wash the filter out every week or so just to keep the airflow at its max level.

Got the 110v system, with separate generator.

Need to also check the hose and nozzels while working as I've found wet sludge starts sticking to the inside so affect the airflow too.

I cut my 15m 51mm hose in half to try to reduce any blockages which does work to a point as now seems much easier/quicker to clear.

Needless to say the gutter poles get heaver too and can also stick with grit so need flushing out during/after each job.

Happy guttervac clearing /emoticons/biggrin.png

i was doing a job on friday and my hose was blocked while cleaning the gutters halfway through its soo annoying !!! How do you clean yours out while your on a job smurf?

mine got that blocked up Friday that when I got home to clean it out even a pressure washer wouldn't budge it ended up using drain rods on it

If the property has an outside tap just flush everything through whilst the hose, poles and heads are not connected to the vac. If you still notice a drop in suction make sure the filters are not blocked and clean if required and the vac head is seated on the bin properly. Not to mention checking & keeping the inlet unblocked too. Simples

Keeping your kit in tip top condition is a very important part of the job as newbies will find out.

Cheers smurf, i was given my vac for free from a friend he never cleaned the filters and that blew one of the motors, as soon as i got the vac i took it all apart which was a long process (loads of screws) and it was covered in loads of muck so i cleaned it all up . I don't do many gutter cleans but do you think its worth cleaning the filters after every job ? I probably do 2 gutter jobs a month

oh yes I clean my tools down at the end of each day some of them inbetween jobs I don't understand people who just leave it and lob it into the back of the van ive spent a lot of money on equipment so its worth spending an extra 20-30 mins a day just to clean it down lasts a lot longer then
