Canvassing Rates

I charge up front because I dont trust new window cleaning clients to pay up at the end, its really that simple. After working with us for a year Id start offering credit until then its upfront all the way.

The way I see it is a skint window cleaner is of absolutely no use to me and if you cant afford a £1000 then chances are your a skint window cleaner (no good)

Ive had 5 competitors come and go in the last 2 years ever wonder where all the canvassers are, they do this for 6 months get ripped off and wrap it up, with me Im still going 2 years on.

Do you want a reliable brilliant canvasser ? because if you do you pay the money, if you dont just keep doing what your doing.

Its a free world , but what is life without a little risk ?

Think saying if you dont want to pay £1000 upfront your skint just shows your arogance to be honest!!!

Why dont you pay your hotel costs & fuel yourself then when your paid for doing the job youve got your money back ?

But oh wait you must be skint if you dont want to pay your expenses before you get paid!

You never do yourself any favours atall mate! none watsoever

Seriously why would I fund someone elses business with my own money just madness, We see new canvassers come here all the time some with the caption nothing up front 3 clean garantee lets see what happens when we ring them next year, Gone. folded, kaputt, finished, wrapped up, liquidated, dare I say it washed up.

If wanting to ensure I get paid is arrogant then im extremely arrogant, and I take what I do extremely seriously and whole heartedly believe that I offer the best marketing package at the best price out of all my competition.

As i just said on the other thread take a small deposit that covers your costs ? no danger your costs are a grand or your a complete numpty!

You dont sound like a very good businessman if you think that your funding someone elses business? if they dont pay you they dont get the work so what you on about ?

Very interesting.!!!! Im in 2 minds about the whole thing, I would not want to pay a grand up front, maybe half, then the other half after the 1st wash.!

Even then half the customers may say no thanks to any more washes. Im good at my job, but still been sacked a few times ..(normally cos of money shortage).

Very interesting. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Derek your pretty clueless, so I get the work in for a guy he dont pay what am I supposed to do sell his work, it dont work like that in this game, no one and I mean no one would buy freshly canvassed work if it was knocked for another cleaner.

Aquaclear I always over knock to allow for first clean cancellations as they do happen no one likes them but its a fact of life.

Your the one that seems clueless! no one his his right mind is gonna give u a grand no matter if your "contract" is wrote on gold!
Who said anything about selling his work ? if hes given you a deposit which has covered your costs you;ve not lost anything?

Who dont need a grand upfront these days, put it this way if you want a good solid base of customers that have smiles on their faces and cash in their hands waiting .You pay the money and use me.

Every cleaner Ive ever dealt with is dubious about paying up front, you are not alone. What Ive found is some do and some dont, But Im only looking for the ones that do.

I sincerely hope that in the future you do became a do and not a dont.

I've got more than enough customers now! every single one has been got by leafleting myself and word of mouth, I've not knocked one door either!

Going by your rates for you to get me the amount of work I have at the moment is a crazy figure! your talking £8k!!!!!

Id take that 8k as well, its not uncommon for a cleaner to ring me saying they have 10k to spend on marketing and I still only offer them one package initially to see how we get on.

When you take into account how long its taken you to get to the stage your at now and the effort put in its not easy.

If you had knocked a door youd know why I charge up front thou lol
