I have had 3 days off during the week and have decided to have today off as well, it feels like a holiday, and I haven't had one of those this year anyway.

For those that know me I work 7 days a week (2 jobs) and take the odd day off a month.

Its been a busy year for me but a good one. we have not had money issues, or gone without food. Whenever I run out of cash I go out and clean and build up my round.

I have watched the forums and seen a lot of you guys start the same time or a few months before me and some after me and we have been building up our rounds all year.

I think next year will be a better year, we all have the experience of this year and can build on that. We have stuck it out throught thick and thin... and all the non- payers... and now to DOUBLE our rounds next year.

Happy new Year ALL

Thats definitely one way to go but its a lot harder to get double out of everyone of your customers. I have done that here and there but not to its full potential. IE guttering, inside cleanings and conservatory cleans.

Its easier to expand your round by getting the customers next door to get their houses on your round, and you can kind of earn double by cleaning 2 houses one after another next to each other.

If you can just replace the lowest paid work, with better paying customers then your hourly rates & profits will go up and you won't be doing anymore work..

There's some work Iv been doing from the start and although it still makes money, it's holding me back from earning the potential.. So first of I'm changing them from fortnightly to monthly, and put their prices up, this will give me a free day or 2 a month that I can get better paid work for them days..

This time of year I always buy a new large A4 diary; to record each day, total each week & the months total in the back of the book, after 12 months, condense the key figures into the back of the book on a single page. How many days you worked, total cleans, average prices etc, any details you want that helps you to keep focused on what you want to achieve –

It’s great for a very quick reference, being able to look at what you have done in detail over the year makes it very flexible to use. You will be able to compare what you did on any day, week, and month and have totals for a comparison to gauge how you are doing in the current year, in just the turn of a page.

Happy New Year

Richard

Best of luck koopmaster. Whats the other job that you have to do and are you planning on becoming a full time window cleaner?
