New Pro Gutter Tool

1 needs to go on a impact training course (ladders)

2 Not every gutter will be as smooth sailing as that

and last the plastic on the end doesn't look very durable imo

you and your H&S lol its only step ladders huh! lol /emoticons/wink.png

The videos ****, like all other promotional videos, its shows what could happen in the best situation.....

What happens when the gutters are near full and you try drag it back? Overflow!

I did notice that chap was using the top step on that step ladder which is not very cleaver thing to do.

Yes I know where you’re coming from lads as could that tool be used like that on most jobs I get would have to say probably not.

To be honest I think it's quite a good idea having a tool shaped to go under tiles like that which also doesn't catch on gutter clips.

After saying that might come in handy on some jobs or part of jobs where the guttering is not so blocked with sods etc. I've found when clearing gutters out by hand using a pole and gutter spoon it can take longer to get **** from under the tiles as I pull the pole back. So then I have to keep going back over it to clear the gutter properly.

Would that gutter tool work or not I suppose all depends on if you can actually get it into the gap between the tiles and guttering in the first place. Also not catch or jam up when you pull the pole back. Also nearly forgot to mention may gutters I clear have cables from sat & tv run along inside parts of the guttering so I bet that has not been taken into consideration in the design.

Now wonder why when I emailed for some free samples to evaluate their new products they decided for some reason not to reply /emoticons/biggrin.png

All good hand jobs you should get splash out unless it's gone dry /emoticons/biggrin.png

As they say if me pole won't fit in your gap missus then a good hand job should do the trick.

Mind you a good suck works wonders to get rid of the wet stuff too

for all the hand jobs you get splash out and dont be so miserable looking for freebies

Funny you should say that as that new gutter tool looks ideal for that particular job if you did not have a guttervac.

That enquiry came through by recommendation from a firm I work closely with that replaces guttering & fascias and also clears and repairs guttering. Go figure

They were kind enough to give the customers my number as they are not kitted out to do the work I do. But they are still going to do work on the front of those two properties.

Must admit I can’t grumble as the back is an easy job for me and I also took the time to up sell my services. So now got the work to clean the outside of the guttering, fascias & soffits. Also two conservatories deep clean but as I never miss an opportunity on completion will also be after deep cleaning their driveway's paving & patio areas too /emoticons/biggrin.png

Smurf i took the plunge and bought thoses! they are a lot stronger than i thought they would be quite thick 20mm made from plastic! but do what they are supposed to do! still think i will make them out of alloy using the profile from the plastic ones!
Tried one today on a bungalow and did it from the ground so quick!

if you or anyone else might want to make these for themselves!

i will draw the profile of all 4 of these onto a piece of paper so you just have to cut the profile out from the paper and make your own!

anyone just let me know and i will forward the profiles to you!

I cant remember who was selling them. It was either LIDL or ALDI. But they did a plastic version for £8

My dad used it for several years and still does now.

They look the same as what james has bought.

Work well!

Many thanks for your feedback James.

So when you say you cleared the guttering on a bungalow from the ground did you get the the angle adapter and pole too?

What type thread is it - acme (harris pole) or std wfp type thread?

Did it work going around corners ok?

Was the guttering half round or square?

Was the guttering badly blocked with tile grit, sludge, and sods or just had the usual moss bits etc in it you that you would find in fairly clear gutters?

Sorry for all the questions James as just intrested to know a bit more.

No i used my own pole!

Yes on the one i did as long as the ridge tile is not to far down going round corners wont be a problem!

Was fairly wet with moss but was very easy to clean!

no problem smurf!
My view after using this is that they can still be usefull to those with a vac as well as it is far faster to scap it along the gutter to a place you can suck it up with the vac rather than trying to go over conservatories and the like with a fully extended vac tube!
