Loosing Customers To Wfp Guys

Who the man with the bucket outside then yes I would have to agree. /emoticons/biggrin.png

You may think it's a joke but just so happens it works rather well. Far to well to be honest as at least 2 ppl I use to trad the inside now do their own after seeing the ad on tv and buying one

im sorry, you can disagree as much as you like but a professional window cleaner using a karcher window vac on a patio door is laughable, im amazed you think its ok tbh
I think its fine does the job, i get paid, most important the customer is happy, window cleaning snobery i think

I think its ok, so your saying i am unprofessional?

^^^ That's what I think when people post saying I'm getting a backpack for the tops. Just do them all wfp if you've invested in it.
Go figure.
I've got a backpack & just use it for hard to get windows. Why would I wanna use it all the time. Forever filling the thing carrying 25ltre cans around getting home & gotta make water. Most of my custies don't like it & I personally think trads better & cleans better.

I love my new wfp gear and it makes most jobs quicker & safer. but you can't beat that feeling you get when you have a new rubber in ya blade.

Indeed so to get back to the post I was out working whilst it was snowing hard today & still managed to get my wfp work done.

Also pickup 2 more regular customers then found out while chatting that they both previously used the same traditional window cleaner.

May I point out I did not knock either but both had seen me wfp cleaning their neighbours windows so came over to ask if they could have their windows cleaned too. Go figure /emoticons/biggrin.png

Thinking about it the thread, title says it all (loosing work to wfp guys)

I'm the thread starter, and after going full time window cleaning (trad) and noticing just how many windys are in my area , I just wondered if I could expect to loose any too WFP , but so far it's been the other way and I've lost none , I have also picked up work from other trads who the custies say are doing a s**t job missing bathroom windows and doors leaving the cills soapy ...ect

The reasons custies give for wanting trad over wfp are cills left dripping, not doing windows above flat roofed garage , not regular .

I stress I can only comment on my areas & it might be the exception but I ain't complaining B)

well imo i dont think it is professional for a window cleaner to use a karcher window vac instead of learning to trad clean a window with professional trad tools.
i know im not the only one to think it, wfp is one thing, there is a legitimate reason for using it, ie, high access, awkward access, commercial work and yes if you want to the domestic as well, but a karcher window vac? im sure your actually kidding me?lol

Who is using a karcher, you gotta be kidding.even some of my new customers have put them in the bin.seriously this a joke that someone is using a karcher.this forum has opened my eyes.

But a trad cleaner could also work while it's snowing surely but, most wouldn't...I wouldn't personally. It would feel as though the moment you run your squeegee over the window, the glass would already be on it's way to getting dirty again.
I get the impression that because wfp leaves the glass wet anyway, it doesn't matter. That doesn't feel right to me.
