Get Your Thinking Caps On

I have a self cleaning glass conny roof to clean. It's a 'P' shape, so there is a gap from top to bottom where the 2 roofs meet. In the gap is moss and leaves. There is no outside tap, so I can't blast the muck out. The gap is too small to get a brush in to drag it out. It needs something very narrow to get in there and be able to pull/drag it all out. I need to adapt something to fit on the end of my pole. What could I use?

I'm thinking I use just a brush socket on the end of an angle adapter on the pole and use the thin edges to get in there.

Can anyone think of a better idea?

Could tape a microfibre cloth to the socket. Soak the MF in ubik first

She specified no chems and I wouldn't use them on self cleaning glass either. I will be using Ecover on the finial though.

Good idea about using the microfibre :thumbsup:

Maybe best to get her to pay for an oustide tap to be fitted as would be quicker than farting about like that.

I have used the vac quite successfully with this problem. I used to have a paint roller frame without the roller on, so a stiff metal rod that fits on a harris and can be bent as needed....worked quite well to get in those channels.

The last one i had was white roof frames so after sucking out the crud I used a sally sill brush on a long arm swivel that also cleaned inside of that type of roof gully quite well. Also worked well on scrubbing the rest of the frame sides too once I got the angle right on the angle adaptor so the brush was full on to the sides.

I wish I had taken some pics now of what I mean as the long arm swivel made a near impossible job to do with a wfp brush possible even right up into the corners.
