I Smoke 40 Cigarettes a Day

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I used to do 40 per day for best part of 25 years, £7K per year on fags near enough - Couldn't quit, didn't have the will power. Ended up on Champix pills, you take them whilst smoking - went from 40 per day to zero in 12 days - Had my last *** 25th December 2013. £14,750 more or less I have saved since I quit.

Never seen he appeal of f a gs but I like a cigar when I'm camping in the forest. Have you not got one of those e-cigs tuffers? I noticed @Posh had one the other day when I was chatting to him.

I smoke my ecig like a train, been on it for about 3 years and wouldn't touch a feg now, wish I could stop the ecig

E cigs are really good, if you go for the flavoured ones after a while if you have a ciggy it'll taste horrible, put you off them for a while at least

My honest opinion (sorry for this lads) is that people puffing on e-cigs look like total T**TS!!

If you want to smoke, go get a cigarette, I reckon ecigs are actually more dangerous, no testing, you really have no idea whats in the chemicals they put in them and in a couple of years we will know the side effects as your third testicle descends, and that's just the women!!

I know a lot of hardened smokers that have kicked the habit because of it. I also know two guys that started selling the stuff in the early days and we're making about 10grannd a month and up every month. But they gave it up as no one would insure them. Shortly after they stopped, it was on the news about the first e-cig millionaires.

yrs ago heavy smokin uncle of mine had acupuncture, they left a small pin in behind the ear to twiddle if feel urge to smoke. it didnt work for long..

us kids joked that pin fell out and was a yellowey brown colour!

that reminds me, quite recently i found out his nickname where he worked was Pakki cos his skin was nicotined

Been given up now about 5 years. 20-25 a day. You don't need pills, smoking aids etc its just a small thing called willpower.

I am a stubborn *****, I have willpower for anything, just not for quitting the cigs, couldnt do it, the pills mess with your neurological receptors I just woke up one morning and that was it, didn't want one.

Rated this comment 'Agree'......then realised it could be interpreted badly.

But I'm ridiculously strong willed as well and for me personally it didn't do me any good when it came to putting down the fags.

Sweets & prayers was my method. Don't know what I was prayin too but it worked /emoticons/smile.png

40 a day is a lot. I smoked between 10-20 a day for about 15 years, i stopped on the third attempt back in 2009.

Enjoyed it, and i do miss it at times especially when having a pint, it just fits so well together.

i have had the odd one since whilst out on the **** but managed to keep it under control, probably had about 10 since i quit with the last one about a year ago, i remember it making me sick last time.

Cant stand the smell now, can smell it a mile off on people and in cars and it reeks.

I stopped (well aimed to) on saturday

Said that's it

Had some baccy stashed at home so have had the odd 1..about 2 a day since but still better than loads

I aim to make that 0 in the next week or so

Historically, the best time to quit has been to get man-ebola-flu......the cold & flu that's so bad that it hurts to breathe nevermind smoke.

So anyone thinking about quitting just needs to head to their nearest hospital and mop the floor with their tongue.....

I smoked for 27 years. Loved it. Promised the kids years ago I would give up before I was 40. I thought they would forget. Nope. They reminded me on the eve of my 40 th birthday. Man of my word. Good old will power and nothing else. Ain't even had a look at a *** in over 10 years. Still like the smell of a freshly lite one.

I've promised myself I can start again when I'm 70 if I want to
