@High\-tower excuse my ignorance what do you mean by filtering tap water at pumps?

If I go van mount funds would stretch to a diy one, a gardener backpack and probs an slx 30 or 35.

He means fill van tank with tapwater and set it up so when the pump is pushing water up your pole it is going through di first rather than when filling the van

That way you can even use a custys tap to refil if low while doing their conny roof if you wanted to be cheeky

They wouldn't know what you were doing heehee

Chris each to their own but, if you are buying a slx30 I would also purchase an slx18 as well, I have both a 22 and 18 and Saturday I fitted a univalve to my slx18 as I currently or had a univalve on my slx22, and used the Slx18 today and considerable noticed the difference in weight, remember the less fatigue you are, the more work you can get thru at speed.

It is so easy to make a diy system

Bought a pump and analogue controller for £150 on a deal

Battery from an old backpack (means i charge it daily but it is small and light so i just take it in at night

Shatterproof tote from the range for a tenner

Couple of hozelock connectors

Lawnmower type orange connector from b&q £5

I also bought a second orange connector which i fitted the correct end to an old gardiners backpack charger so i just connect that to the connector on the battery to charge

One hose goes to tank/drums

One hose goes to reel

Simple

(Controller not connected in pic but is now on the outside between the 2 hoses and wired behind the pump)

Yeah daveyboy summed it up! Only downside is if you are filling your backpack from the tank it's a bit slow, but if it's just for occasional job it's not a problem...

It sounds like you'd have it covered if you went for a diy system...

I have a few customers more than happy for me to fill 25L drums at their taps. I only need 4 drums and bring my DI vessel with me to top up through the day.

Just get permission first!

I prefer the 22 over the 18 as it has a shorter collapsed length which is beneficial in tight gaps on bottoms

Ooh err sounds a bit wrong that lol

That and a double extension will reach pretty much everything you will need on normal domestic work

Hi chris this is what i have in a small combo van 350 litre tank stand up one ,100 metre hose on a purefreedom reel pump box with battery inside for any water spillage a carbon fibre extreme 22ft from gardiners a bit expensive but worth every penny no pain on neck and shoulder, with water at 55 you just need 2 vessels in van ,fill tank with tap water then run threw vessel off you go ,good luck worth spending a little on high side u will sharp make money back

Told u if ur round is tight as u say. Get a static tank with a 350 in the van and go home midday to refill. And u will make far more m

I had a partner 800 with a full ro 500l system and that was fine depending what else you carry.
We have to process water with an r/o, so for a single operator a 500 liter tank is a good option. There are the odd heavy days where a single operator will use all that in summer, but on less usage days we just 3/4 fill the tank. The PSA models do sneakily allow an unadvertised 50kg driver limit out of the payload figures, so a 750 kg van will be 800 kg.

However, if he is able to top up along the way then 500 liters is probably a little overkill as the unused inside of the tank is wasted space.

Well lads I've been upto daqua and ordered everything! Dougs gona help with fitment and looking forward to this new chapter.

Slx 27, Di vessel for van,450 litre tank, gardner backpack and battery/pump etc all ordered.

I'll have spare hose set up for backpack and will make all pure in the van.

Have protectakote and will strip ply out. Paint ply and paint metal shell under ply too.

Would like to pick some brains re heated water? I don't have enough funds to get one of those 3 grand diesel heating systems but want to make this wfp transition the best I can..

So I need hot water and vision I decided

Also. Is the standard brush that my slx comes with the best for me,being new to wfp?

Can't give you any info on hot water sorry, sounds like you have the medium mix brush personally I don't like that brush I just can't seem to get used to it, my preference is ultimate flock feels great on the glass and perfect for leaded windows, also gardiner flock sill for first clean especially windows with deep frames.

I use 2 brushes

Gardiners medium mixed sill for normal work

Gardiners flocked sill for leaded and fascias etc

Sill brushes are best imo

I don't use vision as i find just pure does a great job

Immersion heaters seem to becoming the most common way of warming your water, easy provided you can plug it in over night.

I don't see the need for hot unless for dirty connys or fascias

As for vision i would get used to wfp first with just pure until you do a perfect job then try it and see if it makes any difference

I tried it for a while and decided just pure was good and less messing about
