Just curious what mix people use? I've tried so many over the years and there's nothing really has had clearly stood out. Originally I was spending money on Unger's solution, then I went to washing up liquid which was a hell of alot cheaper. Since then i've tried numerous mixtures of washing up liquid different brands, bit of vinegar, dishwater rinse aid and different soaps.

I've noticed one thing and that's without washing up liquid the water has a bit more freedom, less bubbles which means less detailing and doesn't dry as quick but is does drip everywhere in comparison to washing up liquid.

Yeah been using it alot over the last few years as it's so cheap. Tried few of their soaps too which are good. My squeegee is so big that detailing is inevitable. Trying to find a solution is ease burn out on the large rubber, difficult.

I find fairy in the bucket will keep the applicator properly bubbely whereas all the others don't.

Squeegee Off is excellent and BnQ sometimes have it on special offer for £2 a bottle.

Ive also tried HG

But overall you can't really beat fairy. Its cheap, sold everwhere and does the job.

ive used tones of soaps but have seteled with ettore squeegee off and h.g boath are as good as each other i also add some degreaser in as well to kill the suds and add cleaning power i find this combo keeps the glass cleaner for longer unlike dish soap wich leves a sticky film fairy bing the worst i did not like unger or gg3/gg4 as there were no suds at all and u get direction change marks so my combo gives suds then as your blading off they start to disappear wich stops the channel from cloging to

Squeegee off with a splash of lild rinse aid . Found most washing up liquids make my hands split .Sainsbury's cheap washing up liquid was good but then started buying squeegee off from b&q but still have to wear gloves .

Squeegee off and a dash of tesco lemon dish soap for added slip

The squeegee off kills the froth but it is nice and slippy

Morrisons own version of platinum is better and only 70p ish

Asdas is about the same price but even better and nice and yellow not blue

Been reading this and had a few goes at different mixes.

Live in Spain, rained the other day with that red sand in it. Sun came out and let a real mess on all my windows.

I've just cleaned my own house using car windscreen washer liquid, wife's suggestion. "Worked on the car windscreen and that was filthy." she said.

You know what, it does.

Euro a bottle from Lidl.

Just a thought.

I think I'll try adding some degreaser tomorrow with my Squeege Off. So far I've just used the Squeege Off diluted with no soaps or anything else added. It's good but if the degreaser gives it even more cleaning power then it's worth a try.

Go careful as if you have oxidised seals the degreaser can make it run black on the frames

Wfp is no issue as it washes it off bit i have had black marks left on frames using degreaser and trad
