    Guest posting and backlinks

Hello everyone, Im run a gutter cleaning business with a decent website/blog and was wondering if anyone would consider me writing blog posts for them. I’m basically looking for backlinks as I’m 5th in my city on Google - ideally I want to be 1st. I‘d also be very happy to add posts to my...

Gutter Cleaning Leads in Swansea, South Wales

Basically, I've too much work coming in to do it all myself. Is there anyone who'd be interested in buying good gutter cleaning/repair leads in Swansea? 99% of leads drop in via Google, with a small number of Facebook ones too. All organic, no pay per clicking or any of that nonsense - just...

    When to start up?

IMHO branding is important to an extent, people genuinely learn to associate colours or decals with your company. IMHO it really helps with the van, people know straight away it's you coming up their street - even if they've only seen your website or a leaflet. Personally, I didn't go for logos...

What is Ben's Gutters business model?

I see Ben's Gutters all over the internet, they advertise in every town nationwide. Surely one gutter company can't have that many vans on the roads to cover the UK - can they? I understand some companies specialise in selling leads to local lads, but Ben's Gutters look like they come and do the...

    Snail Trails- How to Clean

I find using a brush that has softer and more tightly packed bristles helps alot. If a window is really mucky I'll spray a little degreaser and let it sit for 5 minutes while i finish the other windows.

    New Company Name Ideas

Mr Washy Washy..... Although depending on the Chinese community in your area it could be slightly racist! ?

    Rinsing on the glass

99.9% of the time a pure water rinse works great. There's only three caveats I've found on my rounds. 1. If the top vents are really filthy you can get dirty water dripping down the fronts. To fix this just spend a little time on the first clean to get the vents clean and clear then give...

    Having a chat with custys

How many of you like a chat with your custys? I've noticed that I'm getting to know my round well now and any interesting things that are going on in their lives. Some custys do overshare a little though! ? Do you tend to chat while you work?

    Going too cheap on pricing

It's hard in the early months, leads slow down and the temptation is to low ball to get work in. I certainly have done this since I started but I'm slowly learning what a decent price is for most things. Just keep chugging on is my advice. Eventually the phone will ring enough that you can...

Just starting out! Advice and feedback please!

I use a Blueman backpack and a hybrid pole. I did extend the hose a good 10-15 meters though - it helps to simply park up the backpack at the front/back and work your way around. It works fine and if you do decide to jump into a van mounted system at least you can earn your way up to it. To be...

New customers which could be hard work

I've kinda found myself developing a "spidey sense" for PITA custys. I dunno why and can't explain it but you just know. I think you probably have this spidey sense too and 99% that custy is gonna be a pain. Personally I would just drop them quickly. There are plenty of nice, happy custys out...

How much work do you get through your website?

I've been going for about 6 months now window and gutter cleaning. Thankfully I did come from a background in SEO/IT so knew the steps required to get everything working. First thing to know is that SEO really isn't rocket science and whatever you do never buy services off people who just call...
