The local weather the other night was showing just how much more wet the start of the year has been.
Even a local beekeeper was on the programme looking for someone to take his hives to a drier area with better food as the oilseed rape is so far behind up here due to the wet weather the bees...
Obviously the Temu product is far fetched for our job as can where a hat unlike swimmers but the saltwater flats fishing type neck covering is something I'm going to look into as the back of my neck gets mahogany coloured even with SPF face cream and sun cream reapplied during the day. My work...
Hi Molly- Is that K rend on the wall in the background as well? It's almost pea green with algae- how old is that?
Also can't quite tell on the resolution the photo uploads at but judging by the other comments is that bubbles from washing the residue off the glass on the sill or is that where...
Like Alex Gardiner says, things like poles, brushes, batteries, resin etc are all consumables albeit long cycle consumables maybe 2-5 years or more (decadal!) like Spruce's RO membrane! So when you think how much each of those parts cost compared to how much they earn you it softens the blow of...
On my 3rd in 7 years but not sure how old first one was when I got it with the system and middle one I never charged apart from split charge.
Latest one is 3 years old and charged every couple of nights or so. For circa £120 yours has served you well and doesn't owe you anything ?
I spruce, do you mean a separate earth to the one from the plug cable? I've got a 3 prong plug with L, N and Earth wired in and then the 2 wires going to the controller on the 12v side (with inline fuse as well). Will that suffice or should I get some earth cable from and attach it to the casing...
Yes, quite often on commercial first cleans for sticker removal and also on residential for baked in bird muck/egg. I have the 6" one as well- both adjustable handles for the angle and when used with pole with quick adjust gooseneck it allows any angle pretty much. ?
These 2 jobs below had...
That's what's inside the Xline fill and flush box. 2 Solenoid valves and a gate valve. It's a pain to work on. Would much prefer Spruce's set up eventually. I'll get some john guest pipe and spread things out so easier to fault find and install the inline tds meters and pressure gauge
As it's...
Just back now. Unimpeded flow without booster was 10.9lpm. With booster it touched 14.9lpm. ?
Garage tap pressure is a smidge under 60psi. CBP900 took it up to 106psi.
When I get the call from MachineMart with how much the CBM will cost to repair I'll do a comparison to see how much better it...
I don't tend to use the micro scrapers anymore as always rusted up so I have a 4" and 6" ninja with the belt holster.
However do the scrapers you use have the hole in the non blade end where you could attach a small carabiner/lanyard if you want it easy access round your neck when wearing the...
Yes I think you're right I recall spruce saying you'd need a break tank to ensure you're not drawing more than permitted litres per minute.
It's an Xline auto fill and flush system so it's 5mins flush per hour. Anyone with an Xline fitted booster can they confirm if the booster switches off...
I'll double check when I'm home. When the membrane is flushing it's 12lpm which is the whole of the mains supply for house. ? Never happened with the 240e as always managwd yo have reduced flow at taps as was. More like 10.9-11.2lpm but now 5 mins every hour the cold supply is diverted to...
Prices on Anglian Pumps Website (where I bought CBM240E from) but MachineMart (where I bought CBP900 from) has better aftercare IMHO.
Anglian Pumps told me it wasn't expensive enough to offer service on it.... luckily MachineMart took it in.
CBP900 = £227 cheaper and similar specs.
I know this is a resurrection of an old thread but booster pumps come up quite frequently.
I've used a CBM240E since January 2020 and it has been faultless in performance until a grinding noise last month and black swarf blocking my Solenoid valve on...
Might be worth a try. Not a silver bullet as the same problem doors and windows with rubber gaskets still looks like crying women with running mascara over time so I always expect to need to use BKF. ? Only adds a min or two and brings it back better (from a distance at least lol).
Seems...
Barkeeper's friend works similarly to pink stuff and is less abrasive on upvc. Just try not to let the cloth touch the perished rubber again as it'll be back to square one.
As said before Pure water only should minimize leaching of the rubber each clean but be prepared for after snow or cold...
Quite the range. Guessing the heritage means flocked for leaded windows aka Tudor style houses?
Will stick with Gardiners for now I think as enjoy the supreme and prefer to use a brush bumper for brush stick longevity and customer sill protection.
BTW if anyone wants any orange xline 26cm...
