ok so there i was this morning with 2 side by side houses to do gutterings on, (full of pine needles), so working away & the chap in the one house said, "when you go round the back theres some bees hanging about," so i said i would have a look for him, well when i walked into the back garden there must have been 2-3 hundred bees if not more all round this bush. I politely said ok fine thats me done for today when you have them sorted give me a ring & i will come back. Think the custy had a death wish, went & banged the tree with a shovel to make sure they were still there & by god they was so half a day today, great !!!!!!!!

Man!

I had a swarm near me a few years ago whilst working...opposite my parent's house. We had to get a specialist bee keeper out to come and take them away, he said there were about 50,000 bees there!!

They eventually formed a massive rugby ball shaped clump on a bush. He said the follow the queen wherever she goes.

i've only ever been stung twice both times while w/cleaning i dont mind the odd few but a bunch like that i'd be off like a hare

If I see any try spraying them with the pole if that doesn't work just smash em with pole instead (taking care not to hit pole on anything)

well been & finished job on guttering lady told me beekeeper came & took the bees away, he estimated 5-15 thousand of them so much for my 2-3 hundred lol

swarms are scary things alright. even trying to clean windows near wasps nest they kept trying to attack me....sod that!

one is bad enough, a swarm? I'm out!
