It has been announced today that st Austell is going to be having a huge desalination plant built to provide more water to stop drought conditions happening in the future . lol we are suffering from flooding here there and everywhere at the moment . But this scheme is probably going to be run out all over the country from what they are saying .To start with they are saying it will produce 60 million litres of drinking water per day .

Don’t understand why Cornwall. It gets more rain than Essex, Kent and London, so surely that would be the place to start, on the south east coast?

No idea but they have just shown detailed plans on the local news , might be something to do with the large influx of visitors in the summer months ? As that’s when we have problems apparently, believe it or not we only had the hose pipe ban lifted around 8 weeks ago !!!!

Yeh my sister told me that.
She moved to Perranporth in January.
She said she’s never seen as much rain in her life, but the ban has only recently been lifted
