What size pole would you recommend for solar panel cleaning? and what do you normally charge? do you feel the price of a large pole is worth it?

Depends on how tall the building is and type of access

Price of larger poles has to be worth it, if that's the only way to reach the solar panels...depending on the amount of work you have.

40ft plus pole should be long enough, but unless you really intend to hit the market with it, you would take a while to get money back on pole, as most people either have them done once or twice a year only.

I charge £30 for a standard set up, about 14-16 panels.

Our if you spend £500+ on the pole that's a lot of cleans before you see a profit, unless you have other uses of a 40ft pole.

as above if you get yourself approx 45ft it will cover most jobs ,try to get yourself a secondhand one for now see how you like it and how much work you get from solar panels then maybe buy better later
