DIY hot water system question.

Hi folks.

Could anyone who has done a DIY hot water system point me in the right direction...

1. What side of the heater does the pump go? Before or after..

2. Do you need to use a gas regulator?

Before the heater. And I just used the connection of my bbq lol

Ive never built one but prepared to guess that the pump will go before the heater - push cold water to the heater, rather than make the pump suck hot water through the heater - I could be wrong but that seems logical to me.

You will need a gas regulator as a way of connecting to the gas bottle of your choice. Im assuming people use propane as butane freezes in winter which would make it pretty pointless.

Yes pump before heater. Need the regulator that matches the gas pressure of the heater.
