Re canvassing a road / target advertising

I haven't canvassed for a good while properly but how many re canvas a road they have done previous and how long do you leave it.

When I started I did not do what I should and make a note of who I spoke to and who I didn't but I am getting to stage where all I want to do now is focus on getting more neighbours (2 current custies) on my books.

What is the best way to do this just recanvas the road or another method?

Just re do the whole area

I have canvassed the same roads annually with good results as people move or circumstances change

Do you mean 2 customers together or you have 2 customers?

@Hunty I had a good few on a new build street and wanted more.

So I put fliers out and got nothing. Then I've wrote a nice letter saying who I am and that I do lot of street,put in an envelope..got a few more that way.

Chapped the rest twice within a few months just cos,and on the second chap a couple of maybes became yes this time.

If you knock a row of 100 houses you may only speak to 10 people and convert 3 or 4 so that means you got another 9 rounds before you knocked the whole street. Theoretically. /emoticons/smile.png)

Custies together reach or at least in the same road I have too many single houses down a road and that is my focus to change.

Thanks for responses, I will try letter @Chris33 on the roads I have got a few down as that is a great shout, but it's the ones I only have 1 down that I want to change.
