Wiring Prob

Pump wouldn't work. Took the box off and saw a wire had fallen out, put it back and when switched on melted the wires! Realise the polarities are touching but it was always like that, both ends in the connector together. Can't work out what I'm doing

Pictures will be good, its does sound like a dead short; put your pictures on an I will see if I can be of help

Sorted thanks. There was a neutral connector I didn't spot! Now it still wont start! Don't know if it's ruined the batteries, the 2 I'd used before gave no joy at all, my old van battery did but has now stopped! Just hope it's the pump froze rather than 3 bust batteries!!

Now works intermittently, guessing its the relay, every time a move the box it packs up. Starting to annoy me now

Just a wire in the plug come out! So 2 at the same time. Unbelievable. Lost a good couple of hours for that!
