Aquired a aqua gleam today filled with resin & only been used once. He woz going to chuck it out so asked if I could have it. It's used for car washing of which you connect it same as you would a DI vessel. For you DIY specialists the problem with it is once the ppm goes down (roughly about 30 car rinses) you chuck it. It's a sealed unit but was wondering if any of you have any idea how I can change the resin without breaking the thing. Seems a shame to chuck it once ppm has gone down. Have tried it & water comes out at 003 so it works. Any ideas.

I had one had to chuck out as resin changed colour i had the blue one.

How i got started with pure water!

At £50 costs alot of money.

Had to chuck away once used.

Just though someone mite have an idea how to change it. Seems a shame to chuck when run out. Trying to rack my brains how I can make a little hole to get resin out & new stuff in & then blocking up the hole.

with aqua gleam, (theres 2) one that turns from blue (000ppm) to brown? (when higher then 30ppm) and green to brown(30 ppm to 50?ppm)

They turn colour when the resin gets used up, but the same can be said if you leave it out in the light, the light makes it change colour and up goes the ppm

(Don't know if this happens to normal resin you buy)
