Licence for operating cradles?!

Me and the staff have got IPAF licences for cherry pickers, I'm booking IRATA for absailing but it's occurred to me after travelling into central London yesterday that working from a cradle (as iffy as it looked, the guys on it looked like a disaster lol) surely needs some sort of training?! Anyone know I can't get a straight answer from google.

You don't need IRATA for cradles and there's no training body/association that look after working in cradles. However, you need to be trained by the installers for your guys to be deemed 'Competent'.

Oh so pretty easy to slip into... the guys I saw yesterday could definitely have done with a bit more time becoming 'competent' lol... thanks
