what roughly is the ppm for rainwater?

if you use rain water do you still need an ro system?

sorry if these are stupid questions

nope i read this on here somewhere norm...its pretty good....does depend on you getting smurf in to clean your gutters first though....

Rainwater is pretty much 0ppm, maybe depends on air quality it passes through. The ppm will rise as it lands on dirty roofs & gutters, ideally you'd want to collect it running off a plastic/metal roof that you can periodically clean.

Still worth collecting it off an ordinary roof & have it pass through a mesh filter (to remove larger debris like leaves) then a sediment filter then a DI vessel (bigger the better) Just a matter of setting it up & storing it.

I can't remember the last time I've cleaned my own let alone anyone else’s ....
