Thinking of getting winter tyres, just watched this video test review between a 4x4 with summer tyres and front wheel drive with winter tyres, quite convincing to get a set of winter tyres.

thinking about these ones http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Goodyear/UltraGrip-9.htm about £60 fitted each from http://www.blackcircles.com/

Anyone bother using winter tyres, they are supposed to be used in temperature 7 degrees and below.

Nope I've never bothered myself as it is not very often the temp drops below -7

Snow/mud tyres are great. We used to get snowed in a lot. Remember carrying bags of coal and bottles of gin, a mile up the hill to the house, until I bought snow tyres. Good for ragging your motor round wet fields too. Pretty pointless in town though, I'd have thought.

I travel miles into the countryside, was -0.5 this morning travelling to work, got up to 10c through day, but back down to 2c when driving home, so I might go for them.
