Extension Cables

how safe are extension cables in severe weather? im running one from my garage to my van to connect to my tube heater, there is some exposed cable to rain snow etc.

most are ok and wouldnt be a problem with our weater here.

i have brought this to use outside for my van :-

its just a normal 13amp extention lead

cheap as chips that mate mine just a bog standard indoor one will it make any difference?

Not really, it's just the rubber is thicker to last longer that's all, have you got far to reel it out?
