Hosepipe Ban this Summer South-East UK Effect on BIZ?

Hi Guys,

Been lurking here for a while, so joined as some good info on this board.

For many yaers I used to run my own lawn care/gardening biz,

then one day the 'mrs' mentions that her company are looking

for a handy/maintenance man, i pop along for the interview, & get the job!

however 2 years on I'm starting to hate it!

so looking to start on my own again. don't want to go into gardening services

again, so maybe jet washing/gutter cleaning?

anyhow, my question is, on the radio news they are talking about a possible hosepipe ban, this summer cos we've had the driest winter in south-east UK for 20 years.

how would this effect biz if you were jet washing and relying on a custards

outside water tap?

I believe....... and I may be wrong....... that there is no restriction for business...... such as car wash etc.

No restriction for business in the first stage. (Amber)

If the environment agency then stepped it up to severe (red) then probably ban all non-necessary usage.

Then health & safety issues would arise....

Probably be a bit of a nightmare scenario...
