    hi everyone
I have got a large wfp tank in my van it`s a scudo 2.0 ltr
last year i tried several things to stop it freezing up,
(it is in my back garden open to the elements)
have tried a Quilt, also a parrafin heater but it made roof wet & when it was really cold the tank 500 ltr froze up,I had to wait till end march to defrost it then had to replace most of internal fittings.
I think i have two choices 1/drain tank down when it gets very cold or 2/ get inline heater fitted, trouble is it`s about same price as van is worth.
    Any suggestions

What about a aquarium heater run by battery? Might be enough to keep it from freezing. Or go all out with a LPG boiler. Pump pure water through it then into you tank. Don't need to heat all the water, just enough to thaw it out.
