Hi guys

thinking of getting an aqua adapter or similar as I am really not getting on with the inline taps etc, is aqua adapter the best to go for or can you recommend others that are better?

are they easy to fit and will I need any other connections or anything? I have an slx 18 and 25 with 45 degree carbon gooseneck on one and angle adapter on other ?

please advise on best to go for and fitting etc?

thanks all

Paul1

We have had Aquadapters from virtually day one. I would recommend them. You need to use the hose that they also sell. The hose is especially designed to have very little stretch so ideal for operating A/D. never used a Aquatap so can't compare the 2.

The hose coils up nicely when putting it way, so you need to uncoil it before connecting your pole up. This stops the hose tangling up at the base when extending your pole.

They now have a kit so you can disconnect the hose at the base of the pole and wind the pole hose onto the hose reel - a much better idea.

Fitting a gooseneck to the AD will be a problem. A/D don't like them as they put addition strain on the A/D with leverage.

You can use this on the end of the pole to screw the A/D on

Now the problem is with fitting your gooseneck to the A/D.

For me I use an ordinary plastic angle adapter as I can adjust it to any angle needed as I work.

If you want to fit your gooseneck them A/D sell this, but I see they are out of stock.

Love Aqua Dapters. Only problem is when the hose snags, the water turns on. Many times I have put it in van. Hose catches bumper and water sprays all over van

Where the aqua tap from pal and what's the difference ? Could' I use with the slx?

Cheers

I love the AquaTap. and by using them, I don't have any trailing pole hose. /emoticons/smile.png[/Q

@paul1 For the Aquqtap you will need one of these to fit into the top of the pole, then the aquatap screws on top.

Then, you need a normal plastic gooseneck like this but the other end depends if you have quickloc or not for your brush

Thats it. You then twist the pole for water on/off

Heres where you get it from straight from Peter (maker)

or here from WCW

Also look at this for a way to have no pole hose hanging from your pole

Sorry for late reply, I'm a bit flustered at the moment as I have a holiday booked in Tunisia in 2 weeks, about 2 miles from whats going on at the moment.

Think I need to rebook.

I have the aquatap and think its a great bit of kit, but I have just got a gardiners supreme brush and its hard to twist pole to put water on and off, as the stock is smaller and lighter, brush just slides round at times and im scared I might batter window with it, aquatap works well with medium mix standard brush though.

To sort problem I bought a push fit tap from gardiners, which was good, that got snagged and popped off quite easily, but now im thinking of the one shot from gardiners, so I can use my supreme brush, as getting annoyed with it as have to take pole down to twist the pole, could do with the twisting action being at the bottom of pole, wonder if peter fogwell has thought of that, would save weight at top of pole?
