I started off with a tap and loop ,, nothing wrong with it but the kept on twisting and snagging ,, so I changed over to an aquatap , it fits on top of your pole before the brush ,, couple bits of plumping and your off ,, twist the pole to turn on / off and no loop to annoy you

backpack pump is more fragile than the van mount pumps used with taps, on / off
