Pay percentages

Hi I pay someone who works for me a day wage when we are out and about in the van. However when they are out on their own I change it to percentage.

What do people recommend as a percentage to pay someone? So I may a reasonable amount aswell?

Does anyone else do this?

I don't work with anyone but I would suggest that if you paid the. £100 for the day and you generated .. £200 of work then his portion is 100%. If you generated £300 in the same day then split that down to him generating £150 of income but paying out £100 then that works out at 75%. I know days vary etc but this is how I would work it.
