Is this easily removed from bottom section, so I could add/remove an extension with relative ease??

put in hot water and should ease off, it not cut with a knife

As above hot water should do it after much use mine is loose anyway.

Ok ta. I wouldn't wanna cut it, as I'd be adding and removing sections, so would need it to come on and off.
