New lad turning out good.

Took a lad on. ( he's 26 but so is my daughter so a lad) just two days a week. . I was nervous about employing. What if they **** don't want to work ect. Couldn't have picked a better one first time. Keen he is, picked it up easy and is getting faster. Had two complaints in two months. One leaky window and one window streaky. Both of witch I cleaned.

How are you paying him? Hourly or on a %? Something I'm looking at doing myself at some point but it's definitely a worry!

I pay £9 an hour. Wonted to offer more than minimum wage. 16 hours a week so he can claim tax credits.

No tax an just £10 a month national insurance employer contribution.

How easy was it to set him up as employee tax wise? Did your accountant do it?

Can you avoid the NI? Not sure if it's different because we are ltd company but I am claiming it under - worth a look! Employment Allowance - GOV.UK
