Not the best looking of fixes to be honest but if it solves your problem all the same...

were i painted the sections the clamp wouldent bite any more an as it was worn so painted it an not its fine again
Gotcha tenchy. I have a low spot on section 1 on my SLX which is near the brush end and it swivels badly. I just clamp it 2" lower now and it's fine.
thats wat i wad donig to my pole but got hacked off with having to think about clamping as im used to leting that section come down super fast an clamp then relise o bugger an have to reclam up a few inches pole ant even a year old
I find there is nothing more annoying when the sections of a pole starts to spin.
tell me about it my old clx wore in the clamping point in the closed pershion an the fully extended section so when u titen it up to bite it wont slide as the middle bit of the section is wider ill keep every one updated on how it lasts ill have an ider buy friday
