There are some lessons that in this business that only come with experience.

A while back I get a call to clean a small 2 bed end semi.

Gutters, soffits etc. Windows and frames. Patio and paths.

Not a huge job although sounds alot. Perhaps 3 - 4 hours with the right tools, chems and experience.

Quoted the custys at £300.

'Will think and let you know'

20 mins later I get a phone call - 'Go ahead please but not till the 5th so it's after payday'

This imediately fires the 'after payday' alarm in my head.

Well today is the 5th and can we all guess what i'll be doing?

Not their house. Text at 5pm last night 'we need to postpone, somethings come up we need to deal with we will call when we can reschedule'

Yeah, course you will luv :rolleyes: Well I never saw that coming. :whistle:

Should that call ever come in (which I am 90% it wont) then they get a new quote of £350 payable at time if booking if they want the spot. /emoticons/biggrin.png Yes I am that harsh.

It could have been a totally wasted day but I have projects in the garage and also an imprinted concrete drive to pressure wash in preperation for sealing this weekend so that will occupy the morning and then me and six of my dear Sweedish friends will spend an afternoon in the garage with 'projects' /emoticons/biggrin.png
