Hello fellow window wetters! I started my first window cleaning business a couple of weeks ago as well as helping a mate out 2 or 3 days a week for £10 an hour. Firstly this is my first ever manual job. After nearly 16 years in care work I needed a change and with a mate looking to expand and buy a new round with him willing to take me on and train me up, it seemed like a no brainer, scary but something I had to do. So on my days off (including Sundays) I have been getting out around my local area, knocking and working as I go. I found this to be the best approach as people see the quality of the work and you're there, already set up. I was a little slow at first but now I seem to be able to do a typical 2 up 2 down in about 10 mins and charging £8, which people seem very happy with and now have 40 houses on my books, all in the space of about a week and a half. I have to say I'm really loving being out and about in the local area and to have the potential to make some decent money just drives me on even more, just wish I'd taken the plunge a long time ago! One happy pole pusher!! Nick.
