royal mail deliver by the bucket full over in ni they have the flyers elesctic band round them a lol make it easier going thru the door ... also makes it easier to go into the binRecently found a guy/company who charges £25 per 1000, although these would obv go out with others.
Im planning in having 10k go out before crimbo.
Wondering what the returns are like compared with paying for canvassing...
Yeh it's on the website. With printing the flyers, around £2500. Maybe a bit less, the wife deals with it.
These are going out rurally, leafleting firms wanted loads more.
Well if you can get 30,000 and guaranteed they will be delivered good for youGoing to try leaflets next year, although i expect 30,000 delivered to cost me about a grand not 3 grand! canvassing would be better money spend if i had 3 grand to play with.
The only way to do that is do them yourselfWell if you can get 30,000 and guaranteed they will be delivered good for you
I understand what you are saying mate and you would think if you are paying top money they should be getting delivered.
I've seen various prices all offering gps tracking that doesn't guarantee anything other than they have provdided a file of gps data. the gps data could be old, faked or perhaps from a different drop.
whether it's royal mail or whoever it is still a human being who you are relying on unsupervised to put your leafed through the door. lots of these workers will be paid minimum wage how much trust would you have.
It doesn't matter how much you pay. unless you physically see that leaflet going through the letter box it cannot be GUARANTEED that it has done so.
You can disagree but your wrong on this one I'm afraid.
How did the leaflet drop go?At end day u can go leaflet ur self be 100% guaranteed they go thru. But it's counter productive cause u work for between 35-50 pound a hour U can put the time u leaflet to better use. If u think the Royal Mail try fiddle u out of leaflets etc. U shud least check and see how they operate.
I was thinking of doing leaflet through royal mail etc or 3rd partyHow did the leaflet drop go?
talking about adds that flash up I always see the invoice to go add on hear at bottom. and they do stick in your mind...we're as a leaflet through the door just think huff another walk to the bin without actually looking what there for or what service..Here's the kicker, peoples expectations are unrealistic.
By people I mean the the windy placing the ads on social media.
There are posts on this forum where users are saying the likes of 'oh I tried a £10 paid ad and got nothing' Well give a leafleter £10 and see how far that gets you.
Another forum user said he tried £100 over a week and only got 8 new customers from it. Well if you have a minimum of £10 per clean that really is a good ROI (return on investment) as for £100 you're going to see a £960 return over course of your year.
Let's talk of FB audience numbers. It says as examples above that you will reach 13'000 in your area.
Now back in a Jurassic time called the 90s I worked in print asvertising and back then the realistic expectation was 2% response to a printed advert so if your magazine advert was infront of 13'000 people your total 'enquiries' (not sales, just enquiries) would be 260. Then you got to weed out all the wasters and see what's left. This is why the top Madmen (ad executives) are paid seven figure salaries, you want the best to make sure that your advert stands out in the crowd.
Moving on to the crowd, it's getting awful crowded, instant information in a world of social media blink and you'll miss it. There are ads on this page..... NO CHEATING...without scrolling up to it can you remember whos ad you just saw flash up? Exactly we are slowly becoming numbed to it.
In the modern world print adverts are dying as we all now turn to web based living. A good response these days in the realm of digital advertising is 1%, yep a lousy 1%!
So from an audience of 13'000 we are down to 130 enquiries (not customers).
130 enquiries..... let's do the figures...
25% from outside areas you operate in
25% time wasters that still think it's thruppence ha'pney for a window cleaner
10% that aren't for you, 'can only do on the 2nd wednesday of the new moon' etc or bad access or yards full of dog doo.
10% that will drop off within 3 months as they weren't really commited to start with.
That's 70% gone from the off!
Holly Calculator Batfans! We're left with just 39 customers from an advert that reached 13'000 people! What a waste of time.........
Really? Let's see.
39 new customers at £10 per customer minimum is £390 per month. You will have also perhaps picked up a couple of one off cleans from your ad and your observant 2 or 3 gutter cleans from your new clients.
So raw end £390 per month.....£4680 per year. All for an ad that cost you £200 to run. That's a 23 X ROI. Or 2300% depending on how you look at it.
Yes there are other variables that will effect overall numbers such as geograhic location, is your advert any good to start with etc etc but the above is a good rough start guide for you to begin with.
2016 Advertising budgets:
Ford: $4.3 billion
Coca cola: $4 billion
Pampers: $8.3 billion
Apple a lousy $1.3 billion even though it's brand value is considered more than 2x of any other company.
This shows that it also needs to be done right not just done.
Green Pro Clean 2016 £3'000 (still worth a smidge less than Apple /emoticons/smile.png) )
2017 budget £4.5k
Having said all that and proving that you need to speculate to accumulate well... knocking the doors is still the biggest ROI yo will see in this business.
Hope this sheds a little light. [emoji106]
