Shouldn't have tried to save money and just bought the one you guys use, it may have limited use now.

Do not worry it will work fine

Will keep trying and trying and trying :-)

I need the rocky music or something, or ideally an assistant :-)

Will check the Titan gain but think I'd be too short to extend a 2 x 3.5m to roof line anyway, I'm struggling as I say with the 3 x. I'm not tall or short, about 5 10 but maybe my knuckles are too near my arm pits compared to smurf ;-)

The ladderbrace that you have @Jimroot will work just the same as an ankalad. The only obvious difference is it has a fixed chain instead of an adjustable strap on the legs.

I just assumed it would only work at max extension like it said in the manual, but I didn't get enough time with it to experiment fully, I hope you are right and 'bracelad' earns his worth

Will watch it a few times. Have you ever knocked a window with the ends of the ladder?

No i haven't (well haven't broken one)

You soon get used to setting ladders

Ask any trad guy sometimes you can be on that first rung climbing as the ladder touches the wall on safe solid ground

Must be my total lack of experience beyond the domestic step ladder. I guess it's like driving, alien at first, now it's second nature, only its 7m in the sky with a lump of metal on the end so not everyone can do it. I can do hand stand push-ups so I don't think its lack of shoulder strength

Just keep going mate

It soon will be 2nd nature

I am a very safe worker but still seem to do it on autopilot sometimes

You assess the placement and do it right without consciously doing it

Sorry thought you had a ladderbrace

No.I followed your advice and got ankalad and stand-off in the first place.
