Not with the nipping method I hope. Soon as I saw that vid I thought it was a bad idea on a Univalve.
i cut it with hack saw then tryed to open it up with a scrue derver then snap :rolleyes: im guna try and glue a sleve over it then heat the hose and force in over it

 
That's pretty much what I've done to remove them except I use a dremel to cut the ring then a screw driver to prise it open. the problem I've encountered is with getting the PU hose off even when the o clamp has been removed. It still doesn't want to come off. Boiling water poured over it helps but I usually end up cutting it lengthwise carefully with a new scraper blade.
