Hi,

Just purchased a new van with one of these smart alternators that doesn’t work all the time so my split charger doesn’t work

So how many days will I get out of my battery before needing to charge it

I only run one pump

Charge every 2 keep it topped up but check it mornings before you start when not on charge get a reading of whats coming out of it

It depends on the capacity of your battery. A decent 110ah leisure battery will probably last you 3 days but it's not good for the battery to flatten it. It's better to charge it every night and ideally don't let it go below half charge (around 12.4v)

if you dont want to worry about checking your battery, you can use whats called a battery to battery charger.

pricey, but its what is recommended for use with smart alternators

Hi yes I’ve seen those and yes bit expensive so looks like I just going to charge it for a while but didn’t know if it be flat after one day
