Hi Monkeyman

Generally the TDS reading of water in Cornwall is within about 50-100ppm

Water pressure can vary greatly from area to area and from different parts of the same town as in most other counties. Here on the western edge of St Austell it is about 105psi from the tap.

Ok, thank you Alex, so you still have to put your tap water through a ro membrane then.

It is quite possible to use a DI only system here in Cornwall, but the most cost effective method  is still to use an RO system. Of course that does vary depending if you are in a 50ppm or a 100ppm area of Cornwall (St Austell is about 90ppm)

Mine has gone up round here from 70/85 to 110/120 but I still use a double Di.

Am also on a water meter so the Ro waste bumps up my water bill.

Di is a lot more flexible and quicker.

I generally change one of my 16 litre Di vessels about every 5 weeks when it usually hits 05.
