So usually just use pure water for conny roofs however recently I’ve had a few plastic roofs so using normal water wouldn’t make any difference.

Would I be looking at something like this to connect to an outdoor tap or is their a universal one?

I know this has been covered multiple times but the most recent forums any links that were provided have expired and no longer work.

I would always rinse with pure, even on plastic roofs. You're selling pure water so use some and walk away

We sometimes use a standard garden hose reel with a hose Hozelok hose connector. We have made up a similar connector as per this item and joined them together using a male hose joiner like this one.

You wouldn’t get anything Rectus from Wilkos. The first original link is exactly what I have. You don’t need a universal just something to plug into your garden hose pipe and then into your pole which should be a rectus fitting. Just as above. Use it for first cleans and conservatory’s   No point in wasting pure. If customer has an outside tap make use of it.

They may well sell an adapter that fits to mini or microbore hose though.

I would personally use one of these;

https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/ez-snap-range/metal-adapter-ez-snap-female-endstop-to-male-hose-plug.html

I have a connection that has a Claber fitting on one end, a small length of microbore and a rectus 21 on the other end, looks similar to the one in the original link. Bought mine from Gardiners but can't find it on their site anymore.

We have a times just plugged our hose reel directly into a customers tap and used it as normal.  Our hose reels aren't fixed to the van.

It does mean you have to flush your hose out with pure water when you are finished but that doesn't take long. If I empty the connecting hose from the van port to the hose reel I know when the unpurified water has been pumped out when the jets start to splutter. At this point I will start to wash and rinse the upper windows on the section of the house I'm working on then do a final re-rinse before cleaning the rest of the house as normal.

I've never had a problem doing that.
