Wfp trolley fix

Recommended Posts

paddie

Good afternoon all,

I have managed to split the tank on my trolley as per the photo below.

Anyone know now if there is a way to fix it at all?

appears as though a chunk of plastic has come off.

cheers in advance

You could try to put some self amalgamating tape over it, then cover that over with a piece of gorilla tape 🤔

Fiberglass matting & resin would repair that and its waterproof too

Get some CT-1 (Plumbing Centre or Amazon) and use it to stick a sheet off plastic over it.

How old is it? The entire side near the corner looks thin. Do you slide it against something when handling it? If it's starting to wear out start put money aside for a new one immediately.

Some duct tape will fix it temporarily. Take note if it's made of polyethylene (PE) that many types of glues won't stick to it properly. You might have to lightly sand it to get a good/better adhesion.

You can buy small fibreglass repair kits for boats, like @marc674 suggests. They'll have everything you need. Might look into reinforcing other corners if you have matting to spare.

good evening all,

thanks for the tips,

I have got a fibre glass repair kit and hopefully give it a go tomorrow to see if it seals it up.
