nilfisk c120.3 high pressure outlet thread size?

Hi, does anyone know the size of the thread high pressure outlet on the Nilfisk C120.3 please?  I have recently bought a new 15m hose with 3/8F threads on each end and I also bought a M22 F connector with a 14mm internal spigot to connect to the machine but it wont fit.  I was advised that this should fit but I cant get the threads to mesh together correctly, The C120.3 has the outlet with the 2 straight sides and not the full thread.  If it is not possible to get a fitting to go straight on to the machine is it possible to replace or adapt the original outlet in any way?  Any advice would be very much appreciated, thanks.
