Pros And Cons Of Wfp

What do you feel are the pros and cons of water fed pole?

Would be nice to see what cleaners think.

You can list the obvious if you want.

Main pro for me is working in rain and be able to clean higher windows.

Main cons for me is leaks and stacked windows. No matter what you do, leaks seem to spring up everywhere!!! And stacked windows can be so time consuming rinsing.

i,m trad but the main draw for me W F P

cleaning above bay windows

cleaning above slanting roofs

cleaning high windows

working quicker with with my mate W F P TOP TRAD bottoms

my concerns how many custy would i loose with the change

dark side working in the rain not sure on that one as soon as the rain starts hitting the windows i,m off learnt the hard way

Working above conservatory roofs and sloping roofs.

Not up and down ladders all day long!!

Worst things are:

Working in dog mess

Working in the snow

Working in the cold

Seeing dead rats in peoples sideway to the backgate ( this happened to me in a nice area aswell ) theirs rats everywhere !

Good things are:

Being your own boss

You can earn what you want if you put the time & effort in to it

Working your own hours

I work in the rain. Customers soon get used to it.

I'm going to buy wet suits, gives rain until Monday.. Blooming sick with the weather!!! Went to do a PVC job and he has spent the cash, asked can I take a cheque and told him no.. As he is a bit of a numpty...

Anyway pros - safer faster easier

Cons - a lot of messing about ie system playing up, caught on gutters, car tyres, wheels bins..

pros for me are quick to start on job, no messing with ladders

ability clean high and awkward windows easily

cleaning is faster

cleaning facias & gutters with wfp

cons for me are problems with system ie leaks & low pressure

some jobs awkward get to and hose can get caught up on things esp if lots bits in gardens

filling tank charging battery

windy days like today

or could that be advantage of using W F P one person instead of two guys trad

The biggest ‘pro’s’ for wfp is you don’t have to have your face up to the window when cleaning - moving a brush is easier, quicker, efficient, practical, and will make you more money - than moving your entire physical self up & down a ladder to the next window.

The biggest ‘con’s’ is frozen wfp equipment.
